The new EU Import Control System (ICS) requirement
has come into effect on 1 January 2011. This requires carriers
or forwarders with maritime containerized cargoes bound for any
of the 27 EU member countries to submit Entry Summary Declarations
(ENS) electronically to the customs authorities of the first port
of entry 24 hours before loading at the port of departure.
To help customers comply with this new EU requirement,
