- Our client is an expanding logistics service provider in Hong Kong primarily focused on freight transportation between Mainland China and Hong Kong, local outbound/inbound delivery, container installation and demolition services, etc.
- They have extended its services to local warehousing and distribution in recent years with an aim of providing all-round and one-stop high quality logistics services

Pilot Subsidy Scheme for Third-party Logistics Service Providers (TPLSP)
Overview
With a view to maintaining competitiveness of Hong Kong's logistics sector, the TPLSP was launched in 2020 to encourage the adoption of technology by the logistics sector for enhancing efficiency and productivity. The
Transport and Housing Bureau (THB) has engaged the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) as the Implementation Partner to serve as the Secretariat for the Pilot Scheme.
The total cumulative subsidy ceiling per applicant enterprise under the TPLSL is HKD $1,000,000 contributing a maximum of 2/3 of the total project cost.
Eligibility
All non-listed enterprises registered in Hong Kong under the Business Registration Ordinance (Cap. 310) with substantive business operations in Hong Kong, which also meet the following conditions, are eligible to apply for funding under the TPLSP:
- Providing third-party logistics services, e.g. value-added services in supply chain and distribution;
- Being related to either inbound or outbound cargo; and
- Maintaining eligibility throughout the period of project implementation
TPLSP accepts applications throughout the year.
Funding scope
The TPLSP supports projects which are implemented for applying technology and / or information systems to enhance the productivity and efficiency of value-added logistics processes.
Funding amount
The total cumulative subsidy ceiling per each applicant enterprise is HKD $1,000,000 for a maximum of 4 approved projects. The Government will cover a maximum of 50% of the total approved project cost.
Each project should be completed within 24 months.
Any approved projects cannot be subsidised under any other funding schemes of the Government at the same time.

Technology Voucher Programme (TVP)
Overview
Launched by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) in 2016, the TVP aims to support local enterprises / organisations in using technological services and solutions to improve productivity, or upgrade or transform
their
business processes.
Each applicant enterprise is eligible for a funding up to HKD $600,000 contributing to a maximum of 3/4 of the total project cost.
Tradelink, registered under its subsidiary "Digital Trade and Transportation Network Limited", is a selected technology service provider for approved applications under the TVP.
Eligibility
Local entities fulfilling the following requirements are eligible to apply for funding under the TVP:
- (a)(i) Registered in Hong Kong under the Business Registration Ordinance (Cap. 310); or
- (a)(ii) Incorporated and registered in Hong Kong under the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622); or
- (a)(iii) Established in Hong Kong by relevant ordinances as statutory bodies;
AND
- (b) Not a listed company in Hong Kong, and not a government subvented organisation or subsidiary of any government subvented organisation;
AND
- (c) With substantive business operation in Hong Kong which is related to the project under application at the time of application.
TVP accepts applications throughout the year.
Funding scope
The TVP supports projects that adopt technological services and solutions which could improve productivity, or upgrade or transform the business processes of the applicant.
The TVP Funding covers:
Technology consultancy
- Customised equipment / hardware, software and technological services or solutions
- Off-the-shelf / readily available equipment / hardware, software and technological services or solutions that form an essential part of the project
- Auditing fee for projects with approved funding exceeding HKD $50,000
Normal business operating costs will not be funded.
Funding amount
Each applicant is eligible for funding up to HKD $600,000 for a maximum of 6 approved projects. The Government will cover a maximum of 3/4 of the total approved project cost.
Each project should normally be completed within 12 months.
