Tradelink hosted seminar to introduce its latest cloud-based Transportation Management System designed for 3PLs

Tradelink hosted a seminar to introduce its newly launched Transportation Management System ("TMS") designed for third-party logistics providers ("3PLs") at the Hong Kong Productivity Council ("HKPC") on 13 October 2023. We also invited guest speakers from our cloud service provider partner Amazon Web Services ("AWS") and the Secretariat of the "Pilot Subsidy Scheme for Third-party Logistics Service Providers" ("TPLSP") to share about the technology trends in logistics and the latest development of the TPLSP.

The seminar was attended by about 20 representatives from various 3PLs who are interested in upgrading their logistics operations. Our Vice President of Intelligent Supply Chain Solutions, Rex Cheng, demonstrated how our newest TMS, which comprised of an administrative web portal and drivers' mobile application, helps 3PLs streamline and optimize daily operations through smart fleet management, such as routing scheduling, delivery tracking, instant messaging and digital payment on delivery. Offered as a Software-as-a-Service model, our TMS can also be readily deployed by 3PLs with ease. Following Rex's presentation, Renee Wong, Business Development Manager of AWS, the world's leading cloud service provider, shared success stories of other solution providers, in addition to that of Tradelink, which adopts AWS's cloud services for its TMS deployment. Renee also shared valuable insights on the technology landscape of the logistics industry.

To assist 3PLs in overcoming financial barriers to digital transformation with the support of government funding, Kaitlan Chung, Senior Manager of Industry Programmes Funding Schemes Division of HKPC, as the last speaker of the seminar explained the latest development of the TPSLP and some useful tips for application. Launched in 2020 with an aim to encourage the adoption of technology by the logistics sector for enhancing productivity, TPLSP has so far registered over 200 approved cases. Covering a maximum of 2/3 of the total project costs with a subsidy ceiling of HK$1 million, TPLSP helps logistics companies upgrade their logistics operations with substantially reduced investment.

Looking forward, we will continue to promote our solutions to our massive customer base in the logistics industry and help our clients maximise digital efficiency with the support of relevant government funding schemes.
