Tradelink Participated in APEC China 2026 Second Senior Officials’ Meeting in Shanghai to Discuss Cross-Border Trade Digitalisation

On 15 May 2026, Tradelink participated in the Second Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM2) of APEC China 2026: the Public-Private Dialogue on Advancing Trade Facilitation & Supply Chain Connectivity through E-Port. Tradelink’s active involvement in the event reinforces its ongoing commitment to driving global supply chain digitalisation and cross-border connectivity.

The event brought together over 40 participants representing various APEC economies—including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Peru, the Philippines, Thailand, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Papua New Guinea, among others. Attendees shared updated best practices on paperless trade, supply chain digitalisation, and seamless cross-border data flows.

Mr Andrew Cheng, Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer of Tradelink, was invited as a presenter at the session. In his presentation, Andrew shared Tradelink’s perspective on secure cross-border data flows and digital standards. He provided an insightful overview of where APEC economies stand today and proposed a comprehensive collaboration roadmap for the future. He also reinforced Tradelink’s commitment to enabling end-to-end trade digitalisation through active involvement in cross-border data pilots.

Later that day, Tradelink joined the APMEN Light Meal Gathering hosted by Shanghai E&P International Inc. at the InterContinental Shanghai Expo. The gathering focused on strengthening ties among APMEN members and exploring collaborative initiatives. Discussions centred on advancing pilot projects for paperless trade.
