The MoU was signed by Mr Wei Xiaoming, Executive Deputy General Manager of E&P, and Ms Stephanie Lin, Partnership Manager of Tradelink, on behalf of both parties. The signing was witnessed by Mr Zhang Yi, Deputy Party Secretary, Director, and General Manager of China Unidata, alongside our Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Tommy Yuen, S.B.S.

Under the terms of the MoU, both organisations will leverage robust cross-border data infrastructure and shipping trade blockchain foundations to establish a dedicated Shanghai-Hong Kong cross-border data interoperability system. The strategic collaboration will focus on high-impact commercial scenarios, including cross-border supply chain financing, international trade settlement, and comprehensive enterprise overseas expansion services. Operating under strict adherence to regulatory compliance and baseline data security standards, the partnership aims to facilitate verifiable data flows, accelerate corporate digital transitions, and reinforce Hong Kong’s position as a global trade facilitation hub.

At the launch event, Tommy delivered a keynote presentation entitled “Data-Enabled Credit: A New Channel for Digital Trade Finance”. Tommy detailed the Shanghai-Hong Kong collaborative data flow and credit architecture, showcasing a secure framework for trade data exchange and digital financing. Backed by blockchain notarisation to ensure end-to-end encryption and compliance, the entire process achieves verifiable, tamper-proof trade data circulation.

Stephanie specifically highlighted Tradelink’s T+ platform. Backed by Tradelink’s decades of government-recognized compliance credentials, T+ establishes a cost-effective credit channel that has earned deep institutional trust among banking partners. By driving data-led financing and uniting the digital ecosystems of Shanghai and Hong Kong, T+ creates a new paradigm for cross-border trade finance.
