Tradelink was honoured to participate as a panellist in the International ESG Symposium organised by the Hong Kong Logistics Association (HKLA), themed “ESG – A Trust Process. Trust process being enabled with trusted data, credible operations & help trade move with confidence” on 8 October 2026.
Our Executive Director and Chief Operations Officer, Mr Andrew Cheng shared how logistics operators can seamlessly capture daily operational data via secure tools such as Hong Kong Monetary Authority Cargox to establish auditable evidence for their HKLA ESG ratings without administrative drag.
During the thematic panel discussion, Andrew shared practical insights on operationalising ESG data:
Concluding with actionable guidance for business leaders and CFOs over the next 12 months, Andrew advised organisations to embed automated ESG capture directly into daily trade workflows. Leveraging HKLA’s verified reporting channel transforms Scope 3 from a regulatory burden into a valuable commercial asset that unlocks competitive financing and preferred supplier status.
Tradelink warmly congratulates the Hong Kong Logistics Association on its 30th anniversary and looks forward to continuing collaboration in advancing digital, trusted, and sustainable trade logistics.
ESG refers to an operational model embedding three core pillars (Environmental, Social, Governance) across warehousing, transport, and supply chain operations. Its primary objective is balancing operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness with reduced environmental impact and regulatory compliance. HKLA is introducing ESG to the local logistics sector, particularly SMEs, to help them adopt this global trend early and reinforce Hong Kong’s position as an international logistics hub.
The Hong Kong Logistics Association (HKLA) is the first local professional logistics association in Hong Kong. HKLA was established as non-Government organization (NGO) in 1996 by a group of volunteers with professional and higher education background to nurture the knowledge and best practices of the industry. The Association is widely recognised by the logistics industry and Hong Kong SAR Government as a pioneer in promoting logistics and supply chain management.
